Description
Doctorate in Education and Social Studies was born as a response to the emergency epistemological and methodological by providing new ways in the construction of knowledge in the field of education supported in the broad field of the social sciences. In this way, it is a Doctorate unique by their nature, flexibility and multiple read of the educational realities that are always related to the social phenomena.
In terms of the curriculum, it is notable for the flexibility, the dialogue between disciplines, the absence of training plans preconceived and religaje of the broad field of the social sciences to the phenomenon of education. Therefore, we have in this graduate degree with five (5) emphasis that allow from a Doctorate in education and social studiesthe training of researchers with the ability to investigate and understand complex phenomena of an educational nature in the convergence with different scenarios of the social sciences.

Duration: Up to 3 years (86 credits), being the 4 year projection of international internship, this year there is no cost, and you can be ahead of inter in second and third year at the discretion of the
student.
Mode: Face-to-face (Medellín), with to-face meetings (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) every two months. The remaining time is to work with the director of the project, which may be
mediated by technology.

The Doctor of Education and Social Studies will be able to perform at universities as a teacher at different levels (undergraduate and graduate), research and support to the processes of generation of knowledge; in centres of research as principal investigator or co-pi in the development of projects; as a consultant and trainer on issues of education for public and private entities, both domestic and international; and as an officer of public and private educational institutions of any level.
Researcher with skills, abilities and skills-hard and soft-that allow you to tackle educational problems from a social perspective, wide, develop, research, produce knowledge and to transform the scenarios from which he works professionally. The Doctor of Education and Social Studies is in the ability to reflect in depth on the issues and realities of their daily work, apply scientific methods with sufficient thoroughness of research, managing teams, directing organizations, produce and disseminate knowledge, and to contribute to the society from the practical field for the exercise of their profession.
